Moderate Earthquake Hits Philippines

KUALA LUMPUR - A moderate earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Samar, Philippines at 9:48 last night.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department said the epicenter located 11 kilometers northeast of Tacloban City and 985 miles northeast of Sandakan.
